BE Health
A 'glocal' Corporate Social Responsibility programme that thinks globally while acting locally, BE Health was created by Kempinski to improve the health of the communities in and around the hotels it operates. This film gives insights into three different existing aid projects in Ghana, Thailand, and Germany.

BE Health in Ghana,
Accra & Kumasi
The "Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City" supports the organization "Breast Care International" in Accra and Kumasi, Ghana. This organization has set itself the goal of competing against breast cancer, a cancer disease that is genetically more common in the African population than, for example, in the European population.
Education and early detection inform young women about the disease, its risks and healing options at an early stage. Breast Care International visits the most distant areas across Ghana and visits schools and communities. It is an aid project that reaches the entire Ghanaian society and makes a major contribution to improving the health situation of the women of Ghana.

BE Health in Germany,
Berchtesgaden
In Berchtesgaden, Germany, the "Kempinski Hotel Berchtesgaden" supports the local mountain rescue service "Bergwacht Berchtesgaden". The mountain rescue service is a local and voluntary work. Each mountain rescue service has basic technical equipment that is intended to ensure rescue operations in rough terrain.
Depending on the region, there are very different rescue scenarios, some of which requires very specialized equipment. With donations from the Kempinski Hotel, the Berchtesgaden mountain rescue service can be decisively helped to meet the requirements of their alpine rescue operations in the Bavarian Alps.

BE Health in Thailand,
Bangkok
In Bangkok, Thailand the hotels "Siam Kempinski Hotel" and "Sindhorn Kempinski Hotel" joined hands to support the "Autistic Thai Foundation", helping to provide a future for children with autism. Here in Bangkok autistic children get the possibility of a certain school education that prepares them for everyday challenges.
As part of the collaboration with the two Kempinski hotels in Bangkok, an "Autism Digital Learning Center" was also created. Special programs make it easier for autistic children to learn new content and use new media. The goal of the Autistic Thai Foundation is to share these new experiences and establish additional centers for autistic children throughout Thailand.

About BE Health
BE Health is a wide-reaching corporate social responsibility programme for Kempinski hotels that wish to empower people in their local communities to protect themselves against communicable and non-communicable diseases. Areas of focus include encouraging positive changes in behaviour, focusing on early disease detection and providing psychosocial support to patients with life-threatening diseases, as well as their loved ones.
In close collaboration with individual hotels, BE Health creates bespoke health initiatives guided by quality, monitoring and evaluation standards. BE Health is an independent legal entity, ruled under Swiss law and headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland.
